Unsure of whether or not your system needs an upgrade? As a homeowner, we strongly recommend water heater installation if you notice any of the following signs:
Age - Water heaters typically only last between 10 to 15 years. After this time, you will usually see a drop in performance, meaning you should purchase a new model.
Strange noises - If you hear banging, clanks, rumbles, or screeches coming from your unit, it means there is damage on the inside of your tank. If the damage is irreparable, you will need to find a new model for your home.
Leaking - If you notice liquid pooling around the base of your unit, your tank most likely has a leak. Depending on the size of the leak, your unit could need to be replaced entirely.
Change in quality - When you run water for your bath, pay attention to the quality. If it’s discolored or has flecks of rust, you should consider replacing your tank immediately.
Shortage of heat - Lack of heat is usually the most obvious sign of a unit in distress. If repair is not the answer, an entirely new system will be!
