Keeping your rain drains working their best isn’t necessarily an expensive or time-consuming task. Periodic inspections and cleaning are typically all that’s required to ensure your rain drains will be able to effectively remove water in an emergency. Make sure you rain drains are not being blocked — when a rain drain grate accumulates too much debris it can slow or prevent water from draining out.
Rain drainpipes also require inspection and occasional cleaning. As with all plumbing fixtures, they can erode, become loose or be intruded upon by tree roots over time.
